Shopping at Bugis Street, SG

Hello There!!! Me and my Sisters Recently had a Trip to Singapore for a Business Meeting Purposes, but at least We find Time to Roam around to some cities of Singapore and i can say the Place was Fantastic, It's Clean, the Transportation System is Organized (I got to escape the long hours of Traffic in Manila Temporarily hehe), and of Course we make sure that we don't miss a chance to Shop at SG's Bugis Street!

Bugis Street is a Famous Flea Market, it is  billed as "the largest street-shopping location in Singapore" According to Wikipedia: it was renowned internationally from the 1950s to the 1980s for its nightly gathering of trans women, a phenomenon which made it one of Singapore's top tourist destinations during that period.

Today, Bugis Street has become a unique retail shopping destination. After undergoing a major facelift, Bugis Street now houses almost 800 shops, making it the largest street shopping location in Singapore. With a unique blend of retail concepts ranging from chic and fashionable clothing and accessories, to beauty services like manicure parlors and hair salons, you will be constantly enticed by the ever changing shopping landscape and its buzzing activities.   It was similar to the Tiangge's that we are seeing here in the Philippines. However I Noticed that they sell a Lots of Souvenir Items, I Think it is because they know that Many Foreigners are Visiting the Place, about the Price Basically it's more expensive when converted to Peso because we know that Singapore Dollar has a Rate of  $1.00 SGD = P32.00, we did some Window Shopping as I want to Observe their Merchandise so Here's what we checked:

  3. Yup, I've been there. I have a post about Bugis in my blog, too.Ü I was in Singapore for a vacation and Bugis was really on my list of places to visit. There was a street food store here in my building that used to be called 'Bugis Singaporean Street Food' and every time I'd check in Foursquare, I had friends who'd ask me if I were in Singapore.

I miss all the fresh fruit juices there + the kaya. Bugis has the best kaya balls that I've ever tried.
