Okay, March is Here! It's Fun because it's the start of vacation for some but at the same time it always bring me worries, why? These past few weeks, we heard news Headlines here in the Philippines about Tragic Fire Incidents in some parts of Metro Manila that Cause Casualties, Property Damage and Emotional Trauma to our Countrymen and i Too, experienced that! Wayback 15 years ago when a house beside us Burned! OMG as in that was really scary! Imagine the Adrenaline Rush that me and my Family had in that Moment... good thing there's a firewall between our house that prevent the Fire from going to our House Wheew! and of course, The Powerful prayers of my Mom that save us from that Horrific Incident.

also, don't forget that MARCH is the Fire Prevention Month! Keep your family and home safe with these

Fire Prevention & Safety Tips:

1. Place the nearest phone numbers of the nearest fire station right beside your telephone.

2. Eliminate combustible materials through good housekeeping. Dispose wastes such as papers, rubbish and other materials that can easily be caught by fire.

3. Keep matches out of children’s reach.

4. Oil lamps, gas lamps and candles should be placed away from curtains. Put out the flame before going to bed.

5. Do not keep flammable materials like gasoline, alcohol and paint inside the house.

6. Regularly check your electrical installations and have all frayed wiring and electrical fixtures changed or     repaired by a licensed electrician.

7. Do not overload electrical circuits by plugging additional lights and electrical appliances.

8. Blown fuses should not be replaced with wires or any metal.

9. Never leave a lit cigarette or cigar on pipe unattended. It may fall on flammable materials that could start a fire. Easily combustible household items are clothes, curtains, furniture, appliances as well as items that are made by paper, wood, plastic and rubber.

10. Always have a handy first aid kit.

The saying “prevention is better than cure” is true especially when it can avoid such mishaps and avoid the loss of properties and precious lives. So Don't think Twice, Check these Reminders and be Cautious this Summer! Have a Great Day Ahead;)

  7. Thanks for sharing these tips. It is one of my biggest fears. As they say, mas mabuting manakawan ka, wag lang masunugan 'coz all of your hard investments will just go to waste.

  8. Thank you for sharing your safety guide. I think most houses in Metro Manila are very risky to fire because they were built close-knit. NCR houses are either not Fire proof and also not Earthquake proof. People like me living in the metro are very prone to impending natural disasters. If i can earn money in the province, I won't hesitate to leave the so polluted Manila.

  20. Thanks for the tips. I've seen scary news about fire incidents in the metro. Sometimes, no matter how much you invest on safety, you'll still get involved when you're around people who may not care. It's frightening to see the news of the whole area burned down. It will be great if the prevention is community-wide.
